Be your own art judge as voting opens for QAL People's Choice Awards

Winners from The 50th Rio Tinto Yarwun & QAL Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards have been named but more prizes remain up for grabs thanks to the QAL People’s Choice Awards!

Voting in the QAL People’s Choice Awards is open until 2pm on Saturday, 24 January 2026.

The process is easy – simply visit Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum (GRAGM) and enjoy the exhibition prior to its closing date, scan the QR code and enter your details, choose your favourite artwork in each section and you’re set!

By voting for your favourite works in each of the four categories – Easel Works, Works on Paper, Three Dimensions & Fibre Works and Digital Works – you go into the draw to win a $2000 Helloworld Travel Gladstone voucher thanks to QAL.

The QAL People’s Choice Awards Winners will receive $500 each.

The 50th Rio Tinto Yarwun & QAL Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards were held on Saturday 8 November with Agnes Water artist Sharlene Cheetham named as the Overall Winner for her artwork “I’m just here for the fun”.

There were 214 entries received at the 2025 Awards, providing plenty of variety for you to vote on when you next visit GRAGM.
