Luminous continues to glow with extra nights and extra ticket options

Feel the warm glow of lights on cold winter nights as Luminous returns to the Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens across four magical nights from 16-19 July.
Luminous is a multi-award-winning light and art spectacular transforming the Gardens into a kaleidoscope of colour featuring interactive light displays, live entertainment, roving performances, creative workshops, food vendors and exciting activities for kids including a scavenger hunt.
This year, we are excited to introduce multi-night passes to provide better value and flexibility for Luminous lovers.
And to ensure that every Luminous lover has the best possible experience, Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said that attendance will be capped at 6000 people per night.

“We know long lines to Luminous can be a turnoff, so that’s why we’re reducing nightly crowd sizes and spreading the event across an extra night to reduce congestion in order to make it as enjoyable as possible for guests,” Mayor Burnett said.
“A key new feature for this year’s Luminous will be the commissioned front gate artwork by local artist Chanise Grealy, designed around this year’s theme celebrating the 30-year Sister City relationship between Gladstone and Japan’s Saiki City.
“Luminous will also feature local roving performances by Adagio School of Dance, local musicians, a set from DJ – The Bro, while the sensory-friendly Zen Zone will also return.
“All of this is on top of the more than 20,000 lights already on display within 11 activation areas to create an immersive experience throughout Tondoon.
“Tickets are very reasonably priced from $6 per person, kids under five are free, and with the new multi-night pass only $18, it makes Luminous one off the most affordable public light shows in the country.”

WHEN: Thursday 16 July to Sunday 19 July – 5.30-9.30pm each night.
WHERE: Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens (672 Glenlyon Rd, Gladstone).
COST: Tickets $6 per person (children under 5 free), multi-night pass $18 per person – ON SALE NOW via Council’s website – all attendees must have a ticket to show upon entry, including free tickets.
PARKING: Free parking at Meteors Sports Club and Industry car park – Drop and Go Zone is available for all attendees within the industry car park. A disability Drop and Go Zone and accessible parking for disability permit holders is available at the Tondoon Botanic Gardens entrance.
