We have celebrated nature since the beginning of time, but before the invention of the camera, nature enthusiasts had to document what they observed very differently.

‘Nature Photography Day’ is held annually on June 15 and allows you to learn more about nature and enjoy capturing it, whether you’re a professional photographer or you’ve never captured nature before.

We would love to see your nature snaps.

Images must be taken between 22 April 2026 and 24 May 2026, within Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens.

Entries opened Wednesday 22 April 2026 and close midnight, Sunday 24 May 2026.

Vote for your favourite work at this year’s Ecofest, Sunday 7 June, to decide the People’s Choice Award winner for 2026.

The Artful Eye Award will be chosen by a panel from the gardens, and both winners will be announced on 15 June via our Facebook and Instagram social media channels.

The Artful Eye Award winner, People’s Choice Award winner, and the 8 other finalist images will be displayed in the Tondoon Botanic Gardens Visitor Centre until 31 July 2026.
