Queensland Parks and Wildlife has advised that due to the current severe weather warning and conditions, Kalpowar State Forest is closed until declared safe.
QPWS Rangers are monitoring the situation.
All permits for closed areas are suspended for the duration of the closure.
Commercial tour operators and other permit or agreement holders are not permitted to enter closed areas.
The park will reopen when conditions are considered safe.
