Council's online mapping system:

Allows users to view information about properties, parks, road locations, easements, etc.
Allows users to display and interact with online maps.
Users can print reports such as planning scheme reports.
It is accessible on desktop PCs, smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices.
The system does not require a user name or profile to be set up.

To locate the exact boundaries of your property, you will need to engage a qualified Cadastral Surveyor to survey your property.

Rural properties are numbered at the request of the property owners.
A rural address can be allocated once the owner has decided on the property’s driveway location or main entrance point.
Customers can lodge a request on Council’s Online Services or contact Council by phone to apply for a Rural Street Address and Marker.
Rural address markers will be posted to the nominated address. It is the property owner’s responsibility to install the marker.
Markers are provided at no cost to the property owner.
Install Rural Address Marker on a star picket at the main property access point onto the road. Making sure it does not obstruct essential services, emergency services or traffic. It must be visible to traffic approaching from all directions.
Replacement numbers will be supplied to the owner free of charge. To request a replacement marker -
- Contact Council by phone to apply for a replacement rural address marker.
- Lodge a request on Council’s Online Services.

Property addressing is guided by the Australian / New Zealand Standard – Rural and Urban Addressing (AS/NZS 4819:2011).
A Property address is determined by the positioning of the driveway and/or letterbox and which street they face.
Gladstone Regional Council’s GIS department allocates street numbering. Council notifies the Department of Resources (DR) and Australia Post once an address is allocated.
Street addressing happens when a new subdivision or survey plan is registered.
Incorrect addressing enquiries can be lodged via Council’s Online Services. When lodging an online request, please include your best contact details. There is no charge to the customer to change a street address.
