Gladstone Aquatic Centre's 25m indoor pool is temporarily closed due to necessary maintenance until further notice.Whilst the 25m closure is in place, work regarding heating issues will pause.
Following feedback about cooler than usual water temperature in the 25m pool at Gladstone Aquatic Centre, Council has been closely monitoring this situation and assessments have identified a mechanical problem with the heater. Unfortunately, attempts to rectify this issue have been unsuccessful, with the 25m pool continuing to deliver water at 29 degrees. To restore comfort for all our users, Council is fast-tracking the replacement of the 25m pool heating system.
Purchase of a new heater is underway, and preparations are occurring towards its installation as soon as practicable.
Council appreciates the community’s understanding and patience while works to resolve this issue occur.
More details will be shared about anticipated installation dates of the heating system, once confirmed.
