- Installation of new sewer rising main,
- New sewer rising main connection to the existing network,
- Testing and commissioning of the new sewer rising main.
Work is being planned with public safety as a priority, with Council extremely mindful of peak holiday times in Agnes Water and Seventeen Seventy with the community, visitors to our region and dates of known community events considered. When works start in 2024 you can expect to see Contractors in the area on weekdays with some work at night and on weekends.
Due to equipment and machinery operating in the area, noise and dust are likely from the project area.
The sewer rising main construction involves open trench excavation using temporary fencing and other protection measures to safeguard exposed areas outside of work hours.
At times, some pedestrian detours, disruption to traffic flow, and parking restrictions will be experienced within the work area.
Work is planned to occur in stages to help minimise public disruptions.
To keep the public safe, there may be times when some amenities near the immediate work area may also need to be closed.
