Free weekly tours
Join us for a gentle stroll every Thursday between 10am-11.30am, leaving from the deck stairs or make a group booking on (07) 4971 4444. Tours are cancelled in wet weather and on public holidays.
School and community group tours
Book a private group tour to learn more about the Gardens’ plants and animals. Ask about special areas of interest to meet your needs. Tours are available Monday to Friday from 8am - 3pm. Once your form has been received, you will be contacted to confirm your booking. Please note, tours will not be conducted during wet weather.

If you’re a teacher with students from early childhood to Year 6, you can use the Gardens as an outdoor classroom. Lessons in the Gardens is an educational program aligned with the National Curriculum.

Volunteering
Do you love the outdoors and community work? You can combine both as a Gardens volunteer doing activities like:
- Herbarium work
- Visitor services
- Conservation work
- Friends of Bonsai.
