This year Luminous extends beyond Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Garden’s and in to Goondoon Street with Luminous- Heritage Trail.
The Heritage Trail will ignite on Thursday, 15 July from 4pm with the Luminous- Ignite the Heritage launch event.
Old will meet new as heritage buildings, Kullaroo House and the Old Gladstone Post Office and new buildings, GECC and the Library are lit up.
The family-friendly event will be free to attend, with market stalls, food vendors, live entertainment and the lighting of the Heritage Trail.
Luminous- Heritage Trail will remain lit the entire Luminous weekend from Thursday 15 July to Saturday 17 July.
This project is funded by the Australian Government through the Building Better Regions Fund.
Gladstone Regional Council was successful in receiving $75,000 in funding from the Australian Government’s Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) Grant Agreement.
Council is committed to inclusivity and this year will provide accessible viewing options by enabling visitors to take a break from the crowds at the Gardens and enjoy the Luminous Heritage Trail on Goondoon Street.
We ask that you do not attend if you have returned from overseas or a COVID-19 hotspot in the last 14 days, have a cold or flu like symptoms, have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
Please note Goondoon Street, between William and Roseberry Street, is closed due to footpath upgrades.
Please be mindful of this when planning your travel and organising where to park. The GECC and Gladstone City Library carparks will be available for the community to park in.
