In the event of insufficient bookings, some events and activities may be cancelled or rescheduled. Adverse weather conditions may result in activities being cancelled or postponed. In either circumstance, every effort will be made to contact booked participants.
If you are unable to attend an activity that you have booked for please contact the Community Engagement Team on (07) 4976 6300 to allow those on the waiting lists to attend.
QCWA Ambrose Seniors Day
Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA) Ambrose Seniors Day, sponsored by COTA Queensland, will be a fun and interactive day for seniors, that includes performances by students of Ambrose State School. Following morning tea, QCWA Ambrose Branch members will run games and raffles followed by a lovely local duet performance into the afternoon. A BBQ lunch will be served while you can view the photo gallery and memorabilia of times gone by. Tea & coffee will also be available, while beer, wine and soft drinks can be purchased at the bar.

Organic Gardening in Suburban Backyards, and Beyond
Join the Port Curtis Organic Growers to see and learn about member Vernon’s garden transformation from small suburban backyard garden to a beautiful, productive food growing paradise! Learn the practice of organic growing and how to garden, providing food to eat in a small space. This activity will offer plenty of time for any garden related questions and answers, demonstrations of growing organically and a garden tour including demonstrations on composting and lots of chatting. Afternoon tea will be provided.

Members of the Genealogical Society Gladstone District Inc. will give short talks about some of the interesting pioneers who are buried in our Gladstone Cemeteries. This will be accompanied by a slide show and light afternoon tea.

One night only with Troy Cassar-Daley, featuring Gladstone locals. Legend & the Locals is a unique concept bringing Australian music legends together with regional Queensland locals. In 2019 Troy Cassar-Daley will collaborate and rehearse with talented Queenslanders, putting on an awe-inspiring night of entertainment, showcasing the talents of the locals, and celebrating the hits of the Legend!
