In the event of insufficient bookings, some events and activities may be cancelled or rescheduled. Adverse weather conditions may result in activities being cancelled or postponed. In either circumstance, every effort will be made to contact booked participants.

Full Yoga Experience for Seniors
Enjoy the practice of different aspects of yoga. This 90-minute class will include a quick explanation of what yoga is, followed by practising mindful deep breathing. We will warm up our joints and practice a balanced sequence of yoga poses to work all parts of the body. There will be options on how to make poses challenging or gentler. Come ready to move and stretch, and then unwind with a beautiful guided relaxation. Once the body and mind are relaxed, we will finish with a short introduction to meditation.

Active Over 50s Self Defence
Join in for some basic physical and mental self-defence awareness plus some physical activities. Participants will learn basic strikes and how to position oneself in the event of confrontation.

Latin Dance for Seniors
Come along and have fun learning the Salsa and ChaChaCha. In this 90-minute class, we will warm up to the captivating sounds of Latin music and learn achievable Salsa choreography. Following a short break, we will get ready to ChaCha. You will leave the class having enjoyed the uplifting music, learnt the basic steps of two different types of Latin dance styles, all with a smile on your face.

Tiny Tiles with Polymer Clay
Create a collection of small, colourful tiles. Starting with an 8cm square, participants will build up textured layers of easily mouldable clay, with the addition of glass beads. When finished they will be baked in a bench-top oven to harden. They can be strung together to make a vertical wall-hanging art piece or participants are free to use their beautiful tiles as they wish.

Senior’s Celebratory Dinner
The Rotary Club of South Gladstone will be holding their Senior’s Celebratory Dinner for the 34th time. Come along to the Gladstone PCYC with doors opening at 5pm for a 6pm dinner. Bookings are essential and tickets will be available from the Senior Citizen’s Centre for $2 per ticket.
