About the service

The Gladstone Community Legal Program is provided by local law firm Farnsworth Legal and is supported by Council with funding from the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department and Queensland Department of Justice and Attorney-General.

Consultations for initial legal advice and information are free for Gladstone Region residents via face-to-face and/or telephone appointments.

The Solicitor can assist through advice and support with basic legal forms, documents and letters. 

Topics include: 

• Traffic matters
• Family law
• Civil law
• Consumer rights
• Employment law
• Neighbourhood disputes
• Other miscellaneous matters.

All Gladstone Region residents can access the free Gladstone Community Legal Program. 

Consultations are by appointment only.

Client privacy and confidentiality is assured.

Community education on identified legal issues is available to community groups and support workers to better inform the community of legal rights and responsibilities. 

Community education sessions must be arranged with the solicitor and are subject to the solicitor's availability.

Make an appointment by contacting the Gladstone Community Engagement Centre at 142 Goondoon Street, Gladstone Qld 4680 or Phone (07) 4976 6300.

The Community Engagement Centre is open Monday to Friday from 8.15pm to 5pm, excluding public holidays.
