The Community Education Fund is recognition of academic achievement and encourages the development of knowledge and skills for our future.
Regional Education Program (Educational Development)
Status: Currently there are no rounds open
The Regional Education Program (Educational Development) funding supports the continued development of students across the region to enhance academic standards, mentorship and guidance.
The Regional Education Program (Educational Development) objectives are:
- Support local programs offered in youth development, education and/or guidance as an extension to school-based/delivered programs
- Encourage and enhance the transition from secondary education to employment or further study
- Support programs that assist student’s wellbeing and academic standards.
Funding Rounds
Applications for the 2019/20 financial year are only offered in one round:
Round 1
- Opens 1 August 2019
- Closes 31 August 2019
Project must be able to be completed within twelve (12) months
Funding Available
No funding limit has been applied.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for Regional Education Program (Educational Development) funding, the organisation:
Must be one of the following:
- Not-for-profit community organisation based in or servicing the Gladstone Regional Council area (other than a sporting club) OR
- Australian registered charity.
And must:
- Incorporated
- Have an Australian Business Number (ABN) or complete and attach a “Statement by a supplier” form
- Financially solvent.

School Engagement Subsidy
Status: Currently there are no rounds open
The School Engagement Subsidy funding is to support educational institutions to connect with Gladstone Regional Council to enhance learning opportunities and engagement with entertainment, art and culture.
The School Engagement Subsidy objective is to reduce barriers for educational institutions by enabling bus travel to and from Gladstone Regional Council’s facilities and events.
Funding Rounds
Applications for the 2019/20 financial year are offered in two rounds:
Round 1
- Opens 1 November 2019
- Closes 30 November 2019
For projects held January 2020 to December 2020
Round 2
- Opens 1 April 2020
- Closes 30 April 2020
For projects held June 2020 to December 2020
Funding Available
No funding limit has been applied.
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for School Engagement Subsidy funding, the organisation must:
- Be an educational institution (primary or secondary (or combined) only)
- Have an Australian Business Number (ABN) or complete and attach a “Statement by a supplier” form
- Financially solvent.
