Gladstone Region Youth Council
Gladstone Region Youth Council acts as a formal advisory committee to Council on youth related matters within the Gladstone Region. Members are aged between 15 and 24 years and reside in the Gladstone Region.
Chance to sail on STS Young Endeavour
The Youth Council is offering a young resident aged between 16 and 23 years of age the opportunity to undertake a 10 day trip aboard the national sail training ship, (STS) Young Endeavour in 2018.
Nominations will be accepted this year from August 1 to 31.
Nominees must live within the Gladstone Region and will need to commit to fundraising and/or seeking sponsorship to assist with costs.
After the voyage the successful nominee will be required to provide a report/overview of the program to Youth Council members and invited Councillors.

SUNfest is the region's premier youth holiday program, full of fun and exciting activities for youths (aged 11 to 17 years). The program is held in January each year.
National Youth Week
2017 National Youth Week was held from Friday 31 March to Sunday 9 April.
More than 15 events were held ranging from outdoor activities to workshops.
Mayor's Youth Breakfast
Council's 2017 Mayor's Youth Breakfast was held on Friday, March 31.
The invitation-only event was attended by nominated youths between 12 and 24 years of age from across the Gladstone Region.
Gladstone Pop Con
Gladstone Pop Con was held on Saturday 1 April.
School holiday activities
Gladstone Regional Libraries, the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum and Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens often host school holiday activities for youths and families.
