Gladstone Region Youth Council
Gladstone Region Youth Council acts as a formal advisory committee to Council on youth related matters within the Gladstone Region.
Members are aged between 15 and 24 years and reside in the Gladstone Region.
Members serve an initial one-year term and can seek re-appointment for a subsequent term.
Nominations for those interested in being part of the 2018 Gladstone Region Youth Council are open until October 28.
The nomination process is simple with forms located here.
External organisations are able to consult with youth council members and gain feedback on youth related topics that could provide capacity building opportunities within their organisation and the community.

Chance to sail on STS Young Endeavour
The Youth Council has offered a young resident aged between 16 and 23 years of age the opportunity to undertake a 10 day trip aboard the national sail training ship, (STS) Young Endeavour in 2018.
After the voyage the successful nominee will provide a report/overview of the program to Youth Council members and invited Councillors.

SUNfest is the region's premier youth holiday program, full of fun and exciting activities for youths (aged 11 to 17 years). The program is held in January each year.
Queensland Youth Week
2018 Queensland Youth Week will run from Saturday 7th April to Friday 27th April. The full program is available here
Mayor's Youth Breakfast
Nominations are now open for the 2018 Mayor’s Youth Breakfast.
We are asking community members to identify and nominate young people aged 12-24years who should be recognised for their achievement or contribution and involvement in our community.
The invitation only event will be held on Friday 13th April 2018.

Gladstone Pop Con was held on Saturday 1 April 2017.
School holiday activities
Gladstone Regional Libraries, the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery and Museum and Gladstone Tondoon Botanic Gardens often host school holiday activities for youths and families.
