Join us for a gentle stroll through the most picturesque sections of the Gardens.  Along the way you'll learn about the history behind the Gardens as well as ecosystems from the Port Curtis Region and Tropical North Queensland.

Tours run every Thursday 10am-11:30am departing from the Visitors Centre.

The Visitor Centre offers brochures, maps, information on the facilities and attractions at Tondoon Botanic Gardens. 

When visiting the Gardens we recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunscreen and mozzie repellent.

 

 

Gallery Gallery

Located within the Visitor Centre is the gallery.  Exhibitions change each calendar month and the gallery space is booked for the calendar year in advance.

GET READY FOR GREEN SCENES 2013!
 
Celebrating World Environment Day (5 June 2013), the Gladstone Arts Council presents Green Scenes, an environmental short film competition for budding and professional filmmakers. 
 
The call for entries goes out to the public to create, (using current content,) a 30 second high impact film reflecting World Environment Day 2013's theme, Think. Eat. Save.
 
All films will be on display Sunday 2 June 2013 at Tondoon Gardens during the Gladstone Regional Council's community event EcoFest with the winner announced the same day. 
 
Entry forms with more information and terms & conditions can be collected from the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery & Museum or downloaded from the website: www.gladstonerc.qld.gov.au/gallerymuseum.
 
Entries should be brought into the Gallery/Museum before the competition closes 4pm, Wednesday 29 May 2013.
 
There is $1500 worth of prizes to be won so start thinking and get filming!

Playground and BBQ's Playground and BBQ's

The kids will have heaps of fun playing on the playground which is located near the Japanese Tea Gardens and BBQ areas, just off the roundabout.

The Gardens is a great location for a BBQ or a picnic by the lake.

There are several free electric BBQ's, tables and chairs located in the Arboretum area in the front of the Gardens. 

A water fountain can be located at the front of the Administration Building.
