LNG Industry Housing Support Programs LNG Industry Housing Support Programs

GLNG, QGC and Australia Pacific LNG have jointly provided funds to the Gladstone Regional Council to deliver housing assistance and support programs for families and individuals in the Gladstone region who are struggling to keep their accommodation or experiencing rental stress.

Significant movement in the rental housing market has placed stress on the household budget for many residents and Gladstone Regional Council's partnership with the LNG proponents is designed to help community members adapt to the requirements of the new market.

The rent assistance programs offer a practical solution to those wishing to remain working/living in the Gladstone region but are struggling to meet the increased rental costs.

The LNG Housing Officers are based at the Community Advisory Service (CAS), 142 Goondoon Street, Gladstone. Gladstone Regional Council encourages families, seniors and individuals to contact CAS on 4976 6350 for further information and assistance.
