The DCCHS aims to prevent and reduce the rates of obesity, diabetes and heart disease in our community. We provide and maintain access to relevant health promotion and preventative health programs and activities designed to promote health and wellbeing by taking a holistic approach to preventative health in the community with a range of activities.
Heart Foundation Heartmoves program is a gentle physical activity program suitable for anyone who hasn’t done any exercise in a while. You can exercise at your own pace in a friendly atmosphere.
Heartmoves is run by accredited exercise professionals specifically trained in managing safe, low to moderate intensity physical activity programs.
Heart Foundation Heartmoves is open to everyone and is designed to be safe for people with stable long term health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes or obesity. Heartmoves is also suitable for anyone who hasn’t done any exercise in a while.
Active Ambassadors play a vital role in the delivery of activities of these programs. If you are interested in becoming an Active Ambassador in your local community phone 4902 1100 to register.
