Councils Sport & Recreation Section administer sport and recreation funding programs. Councils grants for sport and active recreation groups cover a wide range of projects and initiatives including field/court upgrades, club amenities, lighting, shade, club training and equipment purchases.

A monthly flyer produced by the sport and recreation department that focuses on a range of topics of interest to local sporting clubs. Alive & Kicking provides tips and advice relevant to clubs that they may use in their everyday operations.
