Open seven days a week, the Boyne Tannum Community Centre offers a multi-use facility, providing residents easy access to a wide range of services. The complex houses a Rural Transaction Centre, Library, and rooms available for hire across two buildings.
> Rural Transaction Centre
Open Monday to Friday, receipting functions are available from 9am to 4.45pm. The centre processes financial transactions for all council services, provides up-to-date information, and gives customers access to collect and lodge applications for processing by other Council departments. The Boyne Tannum Community Centre is also an access point for Centrelink clients. Beach permits are available from the Centre, as well as access to the Beach Wheelchair and the Liberty Swing. Justice of the Peace (JPs) are available during nominated hours, please phone for times.
The Boyne Library is part of the Gladstone Regional Libraries, which includes Gladstone, Calliope, Mt Larcom, Miriam Vale and Agnes Water. This library is open to the public Monday to Sunday predominantly providing 'leisure reading' available for loan, although requests for other library resources can be made by way of inter-library loans from other libraries within the region. Inter-library loans are a free service available to all library members. Trained staff are available to provide assistance to members to locate information within the Gladstone Regional Libraries collection. Computers with internet access are available at no charge from 9am to 5pm. Childrens' activities are held in the library each week as well as craft activities held during school holidays.

> Rooms for hire
>The Heron Room Building:
The Heron Room, orginally the Library building, has been refurbished to provide a medium size room for hire suitable for up to 60 people. Wheelchair access and disabled toilets, timber look flooring, separate kitchenette (no heating facilities available) and a large open spaced area make this room ideal for training, meetings or small functions. Fitted with a picture hanging system; the Heron Room is available to host small exhibitions (conditions apply). Those seeking to host an exhibition are asked to contact the Centre Supervisor at least a month prior to the start date of the exhibition to check availability. >The Mt Larcom Room, the Kroombit Room and the Port Curtis Room: All rooms are located in the main library building, situated on the corner of Wyndham and Hayes Avenues, Boyne Island:-
The Mt Larcom Room is a large meeting room with vinyl flooring and air-conditioning which features plenty of bench space equipped with two deep double sinks. The room is wheelchair accessible with toilets located on the same level. This room leads in directly from the undercover car park off Wyndham Avenue.
The Kroombit Room provides an excellent training room located downstairs in the main library building. The room joins the Mt Larcom Room (if more space is required) and is also wheelchair accessible with toilets located on the same level.
The Port Curtis Room is the largest room available at this centre. It is ideal for large functions catering for up to 200 people. The hall has a polished timber floor, air-conditioning and access to a balcony. The foyer (not air-conditioned) is available for use with this room by arrangement with the Centre Supervisor. The adjoining bar and kitchen are available for hire for an additional fee. Toilet facilities also include a disabled and parent room which, are centrally located on the same level.

>The Castletower Building:
This building has five rooms available for hire. Four of these rooms are on the upper level and have access to a small kitchenette. Separate male and female toilets, as well as a disabled toilet, are located on this level. Room 5 is located on ground level and hosts a fenced yard with playground equipment with a shade structure. This room is equipped with children's toilets, sink and storage area. Childproof fencing has been installed before access can be gained in/out of the building. Good for playgroups or childrens' birthday parties.
