About the service

The Gladstone Community Legal Program is provided by local law firm Farnsworth Legal and is supported by Council with funding from the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department and Queensland Department of Justice and Attorney-General.
Consultations for initial legal advice and information are free for Gladstone Region residents via face-to-face and/or telephone appointments.
The Solicitor can assist through advice and support with basic legal forms, documents and letters. 

Topics include: 
Traffic matters
Family law
Civil law
Consumer rights
Employment law
Neighbourhood disputes
Other miscellaneous matters.

All Gladstone Region residents can access the free Gladstone Community Legal Program. 

Consultations are by appointment only.

Client privacy and confidentiality is assured.

Community Education on identified legal issues is available to community groups and support workers to better inform the community of legal rights and responsibilities. 

Community education sessions must be arranged with the solicitor and are subject to the solicitor's availability.

Free information sessions - I'm newly separated! What do I do now? 

A program of three information, Separation & Co-Parenting sessions will be held over three weeks, co-presented by a Solicitor, Counsellor & Mediator. 

These will be held at the Relationships Australia office, 10 Tank Street, Gladstone and will be facilitated by Relationships Australia, in conjunction with the Gladstone Community Legal Program. 

Bookings are essential on 4976 6300 and will be arranged so partners attend different sessions.
