Tannum Sands sun to set the scene for Australia Day Family Fun Day

Get ready to slip, slop, slap and make a splash this Australia Day Family Fun Day at Millennium Esplanade, Tannum Sands on January 26, 2019.

With activities to start from 3pm, Acting Gladstone Region Mayor Rick Hansen said works are in place to make this a great day for all.

“All residents are invited to come along to Council’s free Family Fun Day from 3pm until 7pm,” Councillor Hansen said.

“The Millennium strip from the children’s playground to the new stage will be lined with market stalls, food vans, activities and amusement rides, so there will be plenty to see and do.”

Cr Hansen said the afternoon is set to include some Aussie Day classics, like cricket and sand castle building competitions.

For anyone wanting to participate in the sandcastle building competition, they’re asked to please bring:
• Hat
• Sunscreen
• 2 household buckets
