Be sure to mention any areas of interest to your guide so they can modify the tour to suit your needs. These tours may vary depending on what areas you wish to see and what is in bloom at the time.

Tours are available Monday to Friday between the hours of  8am-3pm. To make a booking, please call the Visitor Services Officer on 07 4971 4444 to see if your date is available. Then, download and complete either the school booking form or the community group form. Once your form has been received, you will be contacted to confirm your booking. *Tours are automatically cancelled in wet weather.

Children's Trail
Come and explore the gardens with the Children's Trail. The Banksia Butterfly character in the colouring booklet will take you on a walk through the gardens where you get to learn all about the flora & fauna in the gardens. This tour is self-guided and you are able to collect your booklet from the Visitor Centre during normal opening hours.

Lessons in the Gardens Lessons in the Gardens

For schools or other groups looking to study a lesson at Tondoon, Lessons in the Gardens is available for students in early childhood to year 6.

Lessons in the Gardens is an educational program that lets teachers turn Tondoon into their own outdoor classroom. Teachers have designed these lessons to take advantage of the best of what Tondoon has to offer, while ensuring they are aligned with the National Curriculum so no valuable teaching time is lost. Teachers are provided with all the resources they need to teach each lesson and are encouraged to incorporate their own content and knowledge into the material, allowing them to create a truly unique experience for their students each time they visit.

For more information on the lessons available, please call our Visitor Centre on 4971 4444, or come in to pick up a copy of our brochure and our key learning areas guide, which will show how the lessons will fit in with your curriculum.
