Gladstone Regional Council supports the community’s clean up efforts by arranging waste collection and disposal, providing extra materials and assisting sites on the day. Local waste disposal companies also provide welcome assistance by donating skip bins at locations around the region.
Council is hosting a clean up site at Lilley’s Beach, in collaboration with the Boyne Island Lions Club, Conservation Volunteers Australia and Boyne Smelter; all community members are welcome. The clean up will run from 6:30am to 9:30am; participants should meet at Wyndham Park car park, and transport to Lilley’s Beach will be provided from there. Participants should bring enclosed shoes, water and sun protection. A free barbecue will be provided after the event.
