Clean Up Australia Day Clean Up Australia Day

Clean Up Australia Day is the nation’s largest community-based environmental event aimed at cleaning up, fixing up and conserving our environment. The event engages local businesses and community members in making a positive contribution to improving the local environment while raising awareness about the impact of rubbish

Clean Up Australia Day events run annually in the first week of March and offers individuals and groups the opportunity to
participate in:

  • Business Clean Up Day
  • Schools Clean Up Day
  • Community and Youth Clean Up Day

Gladstone Regional Council supports the community’s clean up efforts by arranging waste collection and disposal, providing extra materials and assisting sites on the day. Local waste disposal companies also provide welcome assistance by donating skip bins at locations around the region.

To register your own clean up site or volunteer at a site already registered in the Gladstone region, head to the Clean Up Australia Day website www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au.
