SECTION ONE - Introducing the project

Vision

The Gladstone CBD is a vibrant city heart destination, playing and learning from its unique heritage to allow dynamic opportunities for residential living, active business uses, engaging entertainment and cultural activity for all.

Key objectives

The strategy's key objectives in brief:

  1. Re-establish Goondoon Street as Gladstone’s main street
  2. Create a unique identity and a sense of arrival.
  3. Recognise the city’s heritage
  4. Create a CBD destination that provides entertainment
  5.  Investigate alternative transport options for ease of access
  6. Convert grey space to green space and improve connectivity to active open spaces.
